Giving Love-Contributing To Happiness
On September 24th, 2022, there was a trip called "Giving love-contributing to happiness", Masi staff had a chance to visit "Mai am tuong lai" - a place to nurture and take care of the excellent human beings of our nation.
Masi in Vietnam are busy preparing gifts for children
Mai am Tuong Lai, located in a small alley of Da Mai 2 village, Tan Xuan commune, Ham Tan district, Binh Thuan province, is a place where children with unfortunate circumstances and lives are cared for and nurtured. Prior to its official opening in July 2015, the residence was primitive and difficult to access. With the assistance of donors, the home has been expanded and improved.
Masi participates in fun activities with the children
Nun Vu Thi Vinh, the home's manager, was consulted. We cannot help but admire the nuns' generosity, love-sharing, and resiliency, and we are even more moved by the plight of the children here. There are cases comparable to Hoang Thi Quynh Nga. Her mother abandoned her when she was a child. Her father was subject to labor law. She lived with her grandmother, but her grandmother was unable to care for her, so she was sent to a home. Or is the story of four brothers, Long, Kiet, Trung, and Ha, whose parents are unable to provide for them. The mother, who worked as a contract employee everywhere, feared that her children would not be able to study, so she placed them in a home... Despite this, the children were always extremely obedient and maintained a cheerful disposition. The children are innocent and share with us that when they are carried by the nurses and surrounded by their many friends, they feel very happy and warm.
According to the nun, the home currently cares for nearly thirty children in elementary and secondary school. Each year, thanks to tutoring, the home's students are also advanced and excellent students. Every day, the children attend school and study. In the evening, the nuns review the day's lessons and prepare for tomorrow's in the home's small classroom. In addition to attending school, they can also go to the Dila English Center in the city to acquire more knowledge. "The bus fare alone costs each child several hundred thousand dongs in a month. In addition to renting a home for the children, the nuns also provided food for them." Ms. Dao has shared.
But the most difficult thing is transportation. As society is increasingly developing, bicycles are replaced by motorbikes, and they are not the main vehicle as before. The nuns shared that sometimes damaged cars, but in a radius near the home, there were few people to repair bicycles. The nuns had to take the bike to another place for repair, even going back and forth for nearly two hours. Or sometimes when it rains, the road is slippery and the nuns have to take turns bringing the children to school on time.
In addition to teaching theory, they also practice labor, starting with simple jobs such as folding blankets and clothes, sweeping the garden, cleaning the house, cleaning the dining table, washing dishes, etc. In addition, they also assist the brush weavers in creating products that are not only beautiful but also of high quality.
As soon as they arrived at the home, the members were greeted with eagerness and joy and a glass of sweet and fragrant coconut water. Here, we seem to be "reliving" our childhood again with the innocent smiles of the children and activities such as telling each other stories and dancing together...
As one of the leading companies in the field of processing and manufacturing fishmeal, Masi not only focuses on business activities and environmental sustainability factors but also wishes to spread positive energies and contribute to the growth of the community. With love, the spirit of sharing, mutual affection, and thoughtful gifts, with the intent to support and share a portion of the nuns' difficulties.
Giving love - contributing to happiness
The journey of "Giving love—contributing to happiness" has concluded, but it has left Masi's members with fond memories. These small gifts will hopefully bring happiness and laughter to the children here, inspiring them to overcome all obstacles and strive for success in life. The smiles, eyes, and happiness of the children at home motivate the Masi to develop significantly and sustainably so that there are more opportunities to share difficulties with the children and bring them happiness.
