The fish meal needs to be adequately storage to ensure protein content as well as essential nutrients. At the same time, this helps prevent the formation and growth of bacteria, mold, and other organisms. Fishmeal at Masi's warehouse must always ensure storage conditions such as:
- Fishmeal must be placed on pallets to avoid termite intrusion and prevent bacterial infection.
- Warehouse doors must be locked and fitted with PVC screens to prevent birds and insects from entering.
- Install insect-catching light systems, biological mouse traps, and fire prevention standards to ensure compliance with GMP+ standards.
- Protein level, production date, and quantity should be clearly indicated in warehouses that are separated into batches, labeled, and divided into designated areas.
- Direct sunlight and high temperatures should be avoided as much as possible.
- The warehouse must be checked regularly to ensure the floor and walls are not waterproof or moldy.
